If you had a million $ and spent a $ a minute every day,
it would take almost 2 years to spend it all..
If you had a billion $ and spent a $ a second every day,
and if you earned an interest rate of 10% (on a billion $)…
you would never be able to spend it all!!!!!!

Editor’s Comments – I would appreciate if members would write some articles of interest for the newsletter. Greta Peters always send in a few jokes that helps add to our pages. Write up a small note to say some positive comments about the staff or the volunteers that make your visit to the club special. There are so many people always willing to help if you have a question.

THANKS

WORTHY PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Well, here it is, just about the end of my term as President this year. We’ve had some good times and a few not so good ones.
However, I would like to thank all the executive of the Aerie and the Ladies Auxiliary for all they have done.
Also, I would like to thank the staff for all of their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
I close with a wish for your continued support of the Aerie.

Here’s a little poem.

If Only

If only all the Absent members would show up
And all the Lukewarm members would fire up
If only all the Disgruntled members would sweeten u
And all the Depressed members would look up
If only all the Estranged members would make up
And all the Delinquent members would pay up
What a wonderful productive Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary
We would have.

Yours Fraternally
Jim Gellatly, “Big Jim”
President Aerie 3453

Welcome to our “Eagle Riders” now participating in our activities.

They are holding monthly meetings - 1st Wednesday of the month @ 7 p.m., in our banquet room.
Ask for registration forms at front desk.

Signing in Guests

The L.C.B. (Liquor Control Board) Rules state that all visitors to the club must be signed in.
This includes your wife, if she is not a member of the Auxiliary.
Members are responsible for their guest and when you leave the club, they must leave with you.
The sign-in book is on the table to your left as you come into the lounge.

THANK YOU!

Volunteer Recognition of the Aerie and Ladies Auxiliary Members who Volunteer at the Club

Gord and Dale Eason

Gord and Dale are two members who are always available and willing to volunteer. They have been involved in the club for many years and their time has included the following: monthly inventory, helping bring in the beer order, painting where needed, cleanup in the lounge and yard, planting flowers and many more chores that are a vital part of keeping the club running.
Your dedication is very much appreciated.

Vi Gair and Jan Tompkins

Both Vi and Jan have both been members of the Auxiliary for many years.
Jan has spent many years on the Auxiliary Executive of both the Kamloops Auxiliary and the Provincial Auxiliary.
Jan and Vi have volunteered part of their Sundays for almost 3 years to do the Sunday Meat Draws.
On Sunday evening, Jan enjoys presenting the “karaoke” to.
As Jan has always been a good cook, she was involved at the old hall selling her well known fish and chips. She spent several years volunteering in the kitchen in the new club as well.
Vi has become known to all members and visitors as “mom”. She is always active and it is often you will see her at the club helping out wherever and whenever she can.
Your dedication is so very much appreciated by everyone.

There are many more members who volunteer on an ongoing part time basis and are seldom acknowledged. If you know of other special volunteer's, please drop a note in the Secretary’s box near the sign-in book.
I’m sure there are many others out there who should be recognized.

ALSO the Aerie and Auxiliary are always looking for volunteers to help with our Meat Draws and Raffles.
You can assist in selling raffle tickets for the meat draws or raffles,
or just to help the lounge when it is too busy for the gals behind the bar.
You just may possibly meet the members and make some friends!

Please contact Jim Gellatly 376-5815 or Theresa Kleefeld at 376-3373
